Classes are now using the newly refurbished Casebrook library. We asked Ms Hengst some questions about the new library space.
The first question we asked was: Is this the finished product or will more be added to the library?
Ms Hengst replied: "We still have more furniture to come as well as bookshelves and blinds".
The second question asked was: What are the pro’s and con’s of the new library?
Ms Hengst’s reply was: “One of the pro’s are that the children are treating the library with lots of respect, the scratchy intercom is definitely a con”. Ms Hengst said she is loving how popular the space is and all the students are treating it well.
The third question was: What do you imagine the completed library will look like? Her reply was “Well I’m hoping to get some art on the walls instead of leaving them plain white”.
The last but not least question was: Do you think this is a good space for learning? She replied with, “The library is very adaptable because the shelves are on wheels. It's reasonably quiet and we have the seminar rooms (where the non fiction books are being held at the moment) for smaller groups.”
Well after this interview I bet we can all agree that we can't wait to see the library develop into an amazing learning and meeting centre.
