Our Rock Band performed at Rockshop Bandquest on Saturday night and were awarded second place over all.
Cameron Joe - 'Best Male Vocalist'
Althea Torres - 'Best Keyboardist'
Caleb Barlow - 'Best Overall Musician'
An outstanding achievement for these individuals and the for the K-Lib Band as a whole. Thank you to Steve Fowler for his dedicated work with the group.
On Sunday morning our Korean Dancers performed on, 'What Now.' This was a great experience and I thank all the students and their parents for making it happen. The show is broadcast live, making it an early start for a Sunday morning.
Last week we had a number of teams participating in the Inter- Intermediate Schools Indoor Tournament. Teams travelled from as far away as Invercargill to compete. The competition results can be found in the Newsletter, but I wish to congratulate all the participating students for their sportsmanship and conduct. Teachers and parents spoke about what a pleasure the teams were to work with. Thank you to Miss Charlotte Gardner for her organisation.
Our Hip Hop team took part in the Year 7and 8 competition and made first place against some very strong competition. Well done to the team, all the practises paid off.
Our Aerobics girls were placed second in the Primary and Intermediate Schools Aerobic Competition.
Tonight our Kapa Haka, Korean Dance and Pasifika groups perform at the Cultural Festival. We wish them all the very best and look forward to the evening. Thank you to all teachers and tutors involved.
The activities mentioned above are just those from the last two weeks. Casebrook is a very busy place! We offer such a range of experiences and opportunities all of which go towards meeting the developmental needs of this very special age group we work with. It is a great pleasure to be able to share the many successes.
The School Production is our next focus. Please be sure to order your tickets if you have not yet done so.
Thank you for your ongoing support and please contact me if you have any questions of concerns.
