On Thursday the 10th of August over 100 people went skiing or snowboarding. Kurtis Pulley and Elliott Hamilton also went. We turned and wedged down the mountains of Mt Hutt. We did that to get more fun into our time at Intermediate.
On less steeper slopes we just wedged our legs down the hill but on steeper ones we turned. To turn we leaned to one side and lifted up the foot that we’re turning on. Some people got driven there in cars but others on buses.
On the trip there, on bus one, the engine caught on fire. The engine was too big to fit under the bus so a little bit poked out the top. To cover up the top of the engine wood was used! On the drive up the mountain, the wood caught on fire. They (the bus company) replaced that bus with another one, so we could get taken home .
After all of that we could go skiing, we went on the chairlifts the magic carpet. We also used the cafe, the food there was amazing.
“It was an amazing experience which will never be forgotten more people should try out skiing next year. It felt great skiing over the snow.” Kurtis Pulley, student, room 10.
