Tama Tū, Tama Ora Celebrate Learning

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Tuesday July 4, 2017

Last week our boys who have been involved in the Tama Tū, Tama Ora programme invited their parents in for a shared lunch and during the time they shared their writing experiences and samples. This programme has had a very positive influence on the boys attitude to writing and has also developed their confidence to give things a go. Thank you to Mr John McBride for his work with the group and we look forward to a group of Year 7 boys having similar experiences next term.

Tonight we look forward to welcoming parents and whānau to our Kapa Haka and Kai evening.  Our students will perform and talk about their experiences in their Te Reo lessons and Kapa Haka sessions.  This will be followed by a simple BBQ.  Please join us if you are able, 5:00pm in the school hall.

We farewell Mrs Jackie Moriarty.  Thank you Jackie for your involvement in our school and we wish you all the best in the future.  We welcome back Miss Lydia Muschamp next term.

We have our Casebrook Challenge Celebration Assembly tomorrow at 1:30pm.  Please join us if you are able as we celebrate the achievement of students who have achieved a Gold Challenge Badge this term.

Term Three is a very busy term for Casebrook.  We have student led conferences in week one and week two is our Open Night.  Please mark these events in your calendar.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement this term.  I also thank all of our staff for their willingness to be involved and the extra effort they put in to provide the wonderful range of experiences our students have access to.  Have a safe and happy break.
