Engineer Problem Solve Innovate
On the evening of Tuesday 12 June at Christchurch South Intermediate School, Casebrook Intermediate had two teams competing in the EPro8 Challenge. Members of the 'Casebrook Crew' were Briar Macdonald, Aleasha Smits, Alex Musson and Jonty Sincock, with the members of the 'Casebrook Challengers' being Luke Reynolds, Damon Sawyers-Black, Bronte Perriam, Hannah Olley.
"The EPro8 Challenge is a competition, an engineering and problem solving race. Teams of four are based at a workstation containing an impressive assortment of easy to use parts and equipment. Teams choose challenges they wish to undertake. The harder the challenge the more points it is worth. There is not enough time to finish all the challenges – so strategy is required to know which ones to go for." - EPro8 Challenge
This was a 3 hour event!
Overall the Casebrook Crew came in 5th place and the Casebrook Challengers came in 6th place. A very hard fought race especially in the last 30 minutes! - Nail biting stuff for Mrs Kelleher and Mrs Ogilvie.
