On Tuesday 26th of November all students interested in being a house or cultural leader for 2025 presented a speech in the hall in front of all the Year 7s. Teachers then voted for who they thought would be best for the role.
On Thursday the 28th of November the house and cultural leaders were announced. The students listed below were successful:
Mila Clark Rm12
Bonnie Wan Rm 12
Phoebe Griffiths Rm12
Lilliana Roberts Rm 13
Anieke Sutherland Rm 13
Tristina Kokaua-Clarke Rm 13
Carter Gordon Rm 3
Douglas Walker-Grant Rm 4
Max Bianco Rm 11
Kylem Kumeroa-Poaki Rm 12
Harlem Rimene Rm 13
Hudson Chandler Rm 16
Mila Clark said, “He waka eke noa, we are all in this together.”
Bonnie Wan said, “Leading with heart, striving for success”
Anieke Sutherland said, “Vote for me, and you’ll see.”
Carter Gordon said, “Remember I’m your guy”
Hudson Chandler said, “Ready to take off and lead the way”
These people then had the choice to take the next step and apply for a head student role. They wrote a speech and delivered it on Tuesday 3rd December in front of the whole school. They ran their campaigns at lunchtime to try and get students to vote for them. Many of the campaigns gave out lollies and prizes. Lilliana's campaign was a fan favourite because students had the chance to dump water on Miss Rennie.
After lunch, students voted for the student they think is the best fit for head boy and girl.
We will have to wait until prize-giving to find out who will win the role of head boy and girl.
