Our A waterpolo team went on a weekend adventure to Dunedin to represent Casebrook in the South Island Intermediate Water Polo Tournament.
The trip began early, with a long drive down to Dunedin. After a series of stops in Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru, and Moeraki, the team arrived, ready to play!
The first day was extremely busy! Following a hard-fought win against St Hilda's, the team celebrated their success. The second game of the day also resulted in a win. The team were really happy about their results so far. The evening was spent relaxing at camp and preparing for the games ahead.
Day two was equally action-packed. Before the afternoon's games, the team enjoyed a morning of shopping and were lucky enough to watch an ice hockey game. Despite their best efforts, both games were lost, but the team's spirits remained high.
The final day saw the team compete for 7th and 8th place. A win marked the end of the tournament. Before the long journey home, the team enjoyed some well-deserved fun on the water slides.
Overall, the weekend was really enjoyable for the team. They created lasting memories, and gained valuable experience in the pool.
A big shout out to Max Brazier, an ex-pupil who was our very knowledgable coach.
We want to say a special thank you to Miss Rae, Mr Kirk and Mr Stribling who all travelled to Dunedin with us.
Thank you also to all of the parents who joined us in Dunedin, we couldn't have done it without your support.
