Our Physical Education and Health programmes at Casebrook Intermediate focus on the knowledge and skills that are specific to the needs of our students.

Physical Education

Students are taught a range of skills that can be applied in different game and sporting situations. We focus on striking and fielding; large ball skills, fitness training and athletics; and invasion games.

  • Two skill based PE lessons per week

  • Daily class fitness programme

  • Giving students the opportunity to be involved in daily physical activity and/or play

Health

Every year students engage in lessons delivered by Life Education. Relationships and Sexuality Education is taught by classroom teachers. This programme is informed by The New Zealand Curriculum and follows Ministry of Education Guidelines. Our health specialist programme can be read under the Technology and Specialist section.
