Haka Competition

There was so much pride and passion shown at our haka competition.

A couple of weeks ago we had our school Haka Competition. Each house would perform the haka, Tahu Potiki and compete for the brand new House Cup.

The afternoon started with houses meeting at different areas of the school and practicing the haka. Houses then all gathered together on the basketball court for the big showdown. One by one each house performed the haka in front of the rest of the school. Not only was the haka performed with a lot of passion, houses showed a lot of creativity with their formations and performance of the haka. It was a close competition, but in the end Sawyers came out on top!

We ended the afternoon with the whole school performing the haka together. You can check this out by watching our school haka video. Well done to all the students and staff at Casebrook for a great competition. All the hard work that everyone has been putting in at practices really showed - ka mau te wehi!
