Tēnā Koutou Katoa - The End of Term One is Fast Approaching

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Wednesday April 3, 2024

Thank you to all our staff, students and whānau for making this such a successful start to 2024. Students are really making the most of all the extra curricular activities on offer. Engagement is the highest we have ever seen and just the sheer enthusiasm towards day to day events is impressive. We look forward to Term Two.

Term Two is always a settled term with a major focus on Hagley winter sport and a number of tournaments.  Keep an eye on the daily notices to keep informed.

On Friday 12 April we have our celebration assemblies.  Year 7 at 9:00 am and Year 8 at 11:00 am. This is a time when we award Gold Casebrook Challenge Badges to all who have achieved them. This is important as the Casebrook Challenge programme is set up to teach our students to be self managing.  It is also designed to eliminate the Thursday night rush to complete the weeks homework.  We encourage all our students to take part and aim for gold as self management is so important for success both at school and in the work place.

Thank you for your support yesterday when teachers were called to a Union meeting. Under a teachers terms of employment they are entitled to attend two paid union meeting per year.  We have no control over the timing of these meetings.

All the best for an enjoyable holiday break.
