Dance success doesn't come easy!
Liam and Marcus interviewed Isla Wray. Isla took part in the New Zealand Dance Awards, she came 4th in a difficult speed tap dance and came first in regional champion for her waltz tap gaining an amazing 96/100! Marcus and Liam asked 10 questions to Isla.
What is your favourite kind of dance?
My favourite style of dance is tap.
Where did you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from my teachers.
Where do you learn dance?
I learn dance from the Living School Of Dance and Tap Stars.
Did you think you would win the competition?
I think I had a pretty high chance of winning.
Where was your biggest performance?
At the Isaac Royal Theatre.
How long have you been dancing?
I have been dancing for seven years now.
Where do you see yourself in five or ten years?
I see myself dancing in the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
What is your greatest achievement in dancing so far?
My greatest achievement would have to be winning $150 and a scholarship.
What dance are you most proud of?
I am most proud of speed tap.
What dance is your favourite?
My favourite dance is definitely waltz.
