This term, Rooms 6, 7, and 8 are collaborating on an integrated inquiry into civilisations, with hard materials, art, and food technology teachers contributing their expertise.

Miss Kerr and Mr Houliston are collaborating on stop-motion projects, while Miss Zant's art room is buzzing with creativity as students craft sculptures, masks, or vases with historical and futuristic twists.

Mr Lawson's hard materials class explores how sports were in ancient times creating a sport for their civilisation, recently watching sports videos for inspiration. Miss Wilkinson's students are creating 3D worlds online, viewable with special cubes and iPads. In the foods room with Mrs Dick-McCann, they are making thousands of years old food and later on working on making food for their civilization.

We also learned how different civilisations lived at the same time. Like, one might be building pyramids while another was sailing the world! We picked one of five subjects and now we're working hard to finish our projects in the next 13 weeks where they will be showcased.
