Time to hit the slopes!
Each year as part of the Outdoor Education programme, Casebook Intermediate provides the opportunity for students to experience skiing or snowboarding at Mt Hutt. The ski trip is aimed to provide first-time or beginning skiers with lessons. Please note this is a non-compulsory EOTC opportunity.
Our ski trip will take place on Wednesday 7th August. If the trip is in popular demand we will run a second trip on Wednesday 14th August. We have availability for 200 students to ski across two different dates. However, the two dates will only be secured if we have enough students to fill each of the three buses (100 students per day). In the case of not fulfilling these numbers, a ballot will be conducted for those students who have paid their non-refundable deposit of $50 cash which secures our bus booking by Friday 28th June.
The total cost for skiing and snowboarding will be $150, which includes ski/snowboard hire, a helmet, a professional lesson, a lift pass and transport.
As this is a school-organised trip it is a requirement from Mt Hutt and Casebrook that ALL students must complete the lesson even if they are regularly on the snow or accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day. Even if students have their own ski/snowboard gear there isn't an option to alter the cost as it is a school package deal that is provided by Mt Hutt.
Please complete the online permission slip and parent help forms by following this link: https://forms.gle/FDLRsZP7YHjbMXwW7. This needs to be completed by Friday 28th June.
If you would like to be a parent help and haven't yet completed a police vetting form, it is attached below. Please return this to the office.
