Mealla and Precious caught up with Mr Kirk about the recent PB4L focuses.
In Week nine, we interviewed PB4L teacher, Mr Kirk, on the focus for the last two fortnights, ‘Punctuality and Attendance’ and ‘All the Small Things’.
Mr Kirk has been one of teachers in charge of PB4L teaching for a year so far, with the other PB4L teacher, Miss Rae. He was inspired to be a PB4L teacher so we can focus on the positive behaviour and not just the negative. Mr Kirk has said the students have improved a lot from the PB4L focuses. His favourite part of being a lead PB4L teacher is that he gets to give out prizes and recognise all the people doing the right things, making the school a positive place.
Moving onto the PB4L focuses, Mr Kirk chose the PB4L focus ‘Punctuality and Attendance’ because students' attendance scores were dropping below 90 percent, and we needed to get them back up. He chose the other PB4L focus, ‘All The Small Things,’ because it's the little things that make the school a better and calm place.
We wonder what Miss Rae and Mr Kirk have planned for us for next term!
