Casebrook students competed in a variety of different events at a recent competition.
Wednesday the 19th of June, was the school's gymnastics competition, at Christchurch School of Gymnastics. The following amazing gymnasts represented Casebrook and competed: Annabel Room 15, Allie Room 14, Bonnie Room 12, Vai Room 3, and Charlotte Room 6.
In gymnastics, there are four different events: vault, beam, floor, and bars.
*Vault is a sport where you have to run really fast and then jump onto a springboard while flipping over the vault.
*For beam, a gymnast hops onto the beam and does a routine of jumps and flips. On the beam, you have to have very good balance.
*Floor is a sport where gymnasts start in one corner, and similar to beam, they do a series of running flips and jumps.
*Last but not least, bars. For the bars, the higher the level, the harder it gets, just like with all the other events. The bars are placed unevenly; that's how it got its name of the uneven bars.
Well done to all who competed for demonstrating REP throughout the day.
