Matariki Breakfast at Casebrook

Casebrook celebrated Matariki with a community breakfast. Some Room 15 students interviewed a student who attended.

The Matariki breakfast was a huge hit as the hall was packed with students, parents, and caregivers spending time with one another. It was truly a great Matariki celebration! 

Do you think everyone enjoyed the event?

Yes, I believe everyone enjoyed the event. Everyone was gobbling up yummy food and seemed to enjoy themselves. 

What was your favourite artwork?

My favourite piece of artwork was the light-up tin cans hanging from the string. 

What was your favourite food item at the Matariki breakfast?

The sausage sizzle with bacon was my favourite food item as it was filled with flavour and sauce.

Did you enjoy the performances?

It was a great background performance that I really enjoyed.

Did you enjoy Matariki breakfast?

I really enjoyed the Matariki breakfast as there was heaps of free food.

Why did you go?

I went to the Matariki breakfast as I heard there was good food, and my mum asked me.

What did you dislike about the Matariki breakfast?

I disliked the fried bread plain, as it was quite dry but it was great with the jam.

How many family members went?

Two members - my sister and I.
