On Wednesday, July 24th, our hip hop competition team went to Hornby High School to compete in the Aerobics & Dance Primary School & Canterbury Aims competition.
It was an exciting day filled with energy and amazing dance moves.
They performed a mash up of three different songs in their routine. They did an awesome job and came 2nd.
Brooke and Apolline from Room 3 asked the girls how their day was:
"The Hornby High School Dance Competition was awesome! Everyone was excited and a bit nervous, but they gave their best in hip-hop and aerobics. They also made a colourful candy salad, which was a fun and sweet treat.
Mr. Straker’s car ride to the event was great because the music was really cool and got everyone pumped up. When they got there, the stage was huge and roomy, which was perfect since there were lots of schools participating. It wasn’t too crowded, so everyone could really focus on their performances.
The day was super memorable. They made new friends and had a blast hanging out with their team. Hip-hop was a major highlight, especially performing it with friends. The team gave it their all and had an amazing time, making it an experience they’d definitely recommend".
