Tēnā Koutou Katoa - Welcome To Term Three

By Sharon Keen | Posted: Wednesday July 31, 2024

The term has had a busy start with us welcoming a group of twenty five students and ten teachers from Korea. It is a valuable experience for for both our visitors and our school community. A special thank you to those that are homestaying the group, we can not do this without you.

This terms big focus is the school production which will be on stage during week 9. In the following weeks there will be many notices around practises and costumes. The students who make up the cast know what their roll is but in addition every class will perform a class dance. We value the fact that all our students have the opportunity to be in costume and on stage. It is a major event in our school year.

Next week is the last week of Hagley Winter Sports. We hope the weather will be fine and all teams will have the opportunity to compete. Later in the term we have teams competing in the CAIMS and Koru games. Information about these events will be available closer to the time.

It was great to see so many parents in school meeting with the teachers last week but please remember that you are welcome to come and discuss your child at any time.

We look forward to seeing you during the term and at our events or celebrations.
