We interviewed Room 3 and 4 about their recent surfing trip.
On Wednesday the 21st of February, Rooms 3 and 4 were the first classes to go on the annual Year 7 Surf trips. They went to Sumner Beach where they spent the majority of the day learning to surf or boogie board. Most of the class had done boogie boarding before, however not many had tried surfing prior to this trip. Half of the class said they liked boogie boarding and the other half preferred surfing.
The students learnt that when surfing the strap goes around your leg so that your board doesn't go into the shore once you fall off. It’s the opposite for boogie boarding instead of the strap going on your leg it goes on your arm.
While they were waiting for their turn they had fun on the beach. They made sand castles and played with the frisbee on the beach in the sun.
At the end we asked them what they enjoyed the most they said that they enjoyed being in the water and playing badminton.
