Miss Nicholson - Room 16.

We are lucky enough to have had Miss Aleshia Nicholson join us in Room 16 this year. We have asked her some questions so we can get to know her better.

• How have you found your first week at Casebrook?

I have loved it! Casebrook is such an amazing school and I am really looking forward to what 2024 has to bring!

• How long have you been in education for?

This is my first year teaching! I graduated in 2022 and spent last year relieving in different schools around Christchurch.

• Why do you love being a teacher? In education?

I love watching kids succeed in their learning, and helping guide them to be the best person they can be.

• What are you most looking forward to this year?

I am currently really enjoying getting to know my class and I am looking forward to growing and learning as a teacher alongside my students.

• What is your favourite subject to teach and why?

I really enjoy teaching literacy and PE. I am a big reader and love my sport!

• What do you enjoy doing outside of school?

Anything to do with sport, I love playing and coaching netball. Also spending time with my family!

• What is your hidden talent?

I can roll my tongue if that counts!
