On Saturday 25th of November 2023, there was a Kapa Haka competition at the town hall that some Casebrook Kapa Haka students participated in.
Casebrook performed Tarakihi, Kotahi Kapua and Tika Tonu. We were lucky enough to place 1st for the Haka, 1st place for use of Traditional Instruments, 1st for Kaiwaiata, 3rd place for Waiata Aringa and came 2nd overall after Shirley Intermediate! Casebrook worked very hard and we are proud of the outcome.
We would like to thank Matua Willie and Whaea Tania for tutoring us and pushing us to be our very best. Also a huge thank you to Mrs Yardley, Miss Rennie, Miss Wilkinson, Mrs Feron, Mrs Keen, Ms Hengst and Mr Foster who supported us on the day.
