Cheerleading Queen

This year has been a busy year in the world of Cheerleading for Mila Soutzidellis-Urquhart.

In 2022, Mila was selected to represent New Zealand at the World International Cheer Union (ICU) in Orlando, Florida where they finished 5th in the world for their division.

Before starting Cheer, Mila was an accomplished gymnast, winning a number of podium places in her respective steps in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG).

The competitive Cheer season concluded this past weekend, with the New Zealand Nationals held in Auckland, at which Mila participated in two teams, finishing 2nd and 3rd in their respective levels.

Mila looks forward to competing internationally next year and hopes to be selected to go to Worlds again in 2026 and one day, the Olympics!
