World Vision Visits

Over the last couple of weeks we were lucky enough to have Tim and Susannah from World Vision come and talk to us.

They came to present because of the amazing fundraising effort the Casebrook community was able to achieve for the 40 Hour Challenge.

Tim and Susannah are people that work at world vision; a development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.

They mainly talked to us about working together and helping each other to do our part for climate change. They got us thinking about the shared power we have when we work together and how we each play a part in solving problems. One challenge we had to do to see this in action was a VERY challenging drawing challenge where you had to direct a buddy to draw an image they could not see. We thought it was kinda hard. Our picture did not look like the picture that Tim drew. He also gave us cups, string, and rubber bands and we had to build a tower with the cups and lift it with the string and rubber bands. “We had to learn to communicate well and work together as a team,” said Lauren Smith from Room 14 . “It was really hard when we did not know what to do,” said Lucas Mayhew.

Big thanks to Tim and Susannah from World Vision! Looking forward to being able to play our part during the 40 Hour Challenge next year.
