On the 20th of October, it was finally athletics day. The sun was shining, students were dressed up in their house colours, and everyone was ready to get their house points.

There were lots of exciting events like sprints, long jump, high jump, vortex throw, shot put, discus, and the mini house comp.

We interviewed people from around the school and here's what they said.

Anya from Room 5 said that “she enjoyed sprints because everyone was having fun”. She enjoyed 100m more than 60m.

Then we interviewed Charlie and Ava from Room 1. "Shot put was my favourite because I beat all of my friends and got 3rd" Charlie said. Ava said sprints were her favourite sport because she's good at it. She preferred 60m more than 100m.

Oliver from Room 10 said he liked 100m sprints more than 60 because it's easier and he did it in 15 seconds. Then we interviewed Layne from Room 9. He said he liked long jump because he likes jumping in the sand and because he's good at it he also jumped 3.97m.

Then we interviewed Andrew from Room 16. His favourite was high jump and long jump because he's good at them. In high jump he got 1.3m and in long jump he got 4.41m!

Well done to everyone who participated!
