Hello, as some of you may know I am Imanuel. My sport is BMX and I was lucky to attend the 2017 BMX Nationals in Te Awamutu, Waikato, my mum and I flew up to Auckland and drove to Cambridge.
The day of national's I got 2nd, 1st, 5th, and 8th, this meant I could move on to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals I was doing so well and was in 4th until the person in front of me crashed. I went right into him (OUCH!) I finished the race in 7th place out of 8 riders, because of the crash I did not qualify for the semi finals. I could not control the uncontrollable, my overall place was 27th out of 50 for the eleven year old boys! In September I will be going to the AIMS games in Tauranga to represent our school. Hope I can see more people trying BMX and getting out on their bike.
