Tēnā Koutou Katoa - Term Three Ends With a Flurry of Activities

The school show 'Forward to the Future' was a fantastic experience for all of our young people. The quality of the dances, the delivery by the cast and the fantastic lighting and costumes all came together to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. A special thank you to all our staff, Marie Slack the Director and Sam Broad the Producer.

Last week we had a visit from the Minister of Education - Hon. Jan Tinetti. Our head students greeted her and then she met the Tōtaranui Kāhui Ako Principals, and Tom Straker who works for the Kāhui two days a week.  We discussed the 'Attendance and Engagement' programme that our schools are involved in. The funding of it is part of a government initiative.  The Minister then had a quick visit to some of our classrooms to view the refurbishment and meet students.

This terms Casebrook Super Challenge was a form of Master Chef that finished with a cafe style meal on Monday.  Students were able to invite a whānau member and so it was great to see a number of parents here.  Thank you very much to Olivia Brien for creating the challenge and running the cafe.

The Koru Games have been on this week and have involved around 100 of our students heading out to various sports facilities for three days. Thank you to all our staff who have accompanied the teams and to Tom Streaker for his organisation.

It has been a busy term but a very successful one.  Our young people can be very proud of all they have achieved.  Have a well deserved break and we look forward to working together in Term Four.
