This year as part of our EOTC Programme students have had the opportunity to sign up for our annual ski trip.
It was a very popular trip with three ski days happening, each with 80 students.
Students had an early start meeting at school at 7:00 am to head up the mountain. Mount Hutt is a great place to learn how to ski or snowboard and they love welcoming first timers! To make students' first day on the snow that much easier they equipped them with the correct ski gear and allowed them to participate in either skiing or snowboarding lessons.
After the lessons finished in the morning students were free to ski for the remainder of the day with their friends. Some of the students used their skills to go to the Summit Six lift which was at the top of the mountain. Others were comfortable enough to go halfway up the mountain while others enjoyed skiing on the magic carpet learners area.
All of the ski trips were really lucky with the weather, absolute bluebird days!
A huge thank you to Miss Rennie who spent hours organising the trip to ensure it all ran smoothly. Thank you to our parent help who also supported us throughout the day.
