Production Preparation

Our classes have all been working hard to perfect their dance for production.

Each of the classes have been given a song that relates to a certain cast member or moment within the school production.

We have been lucky enough to have a dance teacher Jungmin from Silhouette Studios New Zealand come in and teach us the dances. All classes have been working hard on their dance over the last five weeks to make sure they are perfect. This has been both challenging and fun as there is a wide variety of abilities from those who dance outside of school to those who have never danced before.

The best thing about all of the classes participating within the production is that everyone gets to have a go at dancing and it is an area of the curriculum that we don’t always get to do much of.

To showcase our dances each of the classrooms had a ‘Dance Off’ to see who had the slickest moves. This was a good chance to practise in front of an audience before the show starts next week.

We are looking forward to the production evenings where we can showcase all of our hard work to our whanau and friends.
