Recently we had an organisation called Te Ahi Ora visit Casebrook.
This company introduced us to an activity involving ‘Fire and Flow’. The purpose of this activity is to encourage us to get outside and involved in different activities rather than being inside on a device.
This activity that they taught us is about performing art but can also be an extreme sport. We were taught that this discipline connects the mind and the body while encouraging creativity. The fire dancing was both entertaining to students performing and for the people watching.
Each of the classes really enjoyed their time with Te Ahi Ora. We thank those families who also got involved in the Fire and Flow evening.
