Remember that Summer with your neighbours is open for applications.
BBQ on the front lawn, picnic at the local reserve or potluck progressive dinner with your neighbours. Maybe a games afternoon for the kids with a sausage sizzle. So get your application in before the offer closes on Friday 11 August at 5pm.

The Graffiti Programme has teamed up with Chorus for another year to pay selected Artists to 'beautify' 10 cabinets located in Christchurch. This is also an opportunity to be nominated for the annual nationwide Chorus calendar competition and possibly the painting being turned into a jigsaw puzzle.
Artists will be paid $500 for their completed cabinet reflecting the submitted approved design. Artists will also be eligible for up to $150 to cover resources to paint the cabinet. CCC will organise the prep for the cabinet and graffiti guard. Artists will be expected to paint the cabinet during September, October, November, or December 2023.
If you would like to submit a design for the Christchurch Chorus Cabinet call out please contact graffitiprogramme@ccc.govt.nz for the submission form. Submissions due Monday 31 July 2023. All Artist submissions will be notified of the outcome of their submission on Friday 11 August 2023.

Smart Christchurch Innovation Expo 2023 - Sunday 10 and Monday 11 September 2023
A free and exciting event at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, offers ākonga innovation focused learning opportunity. The two-day event on Sunday 10 and Monday 11 September 2023 runs from 9am to 5pm. Ākonga are welcome to attend with their families on Sunday and/or as part of a school group on Monday. Key highlights include 100+ exhibitors, keynote sessions, I-Atea Gaming Expo, Minecraft and robotics challenges and electric-powered aeroplanes. ‘Dancing for the Youth Hub’ - Charity Dance Gala.16th September, 6pm at the Aurora Centre, Burnside High School Join us for an entertaining evening of dance brought to you by leading dance schools from around Christchurch. The performance will contain a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz and contemporary dance. All proceeds from the Gala will be donated to the new Youth Hub that is currently being built at 109 Salisbury St, Christchurch. The Youth Hub will provide everything young people need to improve and maintain their heath. It will deliver wrap-around services including mental health, medical, education, employment and training, recreation, creativity, social entrepreneurship and housing.
