In the last few weeks, St John’s paramedic, Nicki, has been coming to teach the students of Casebrook important medical knowledge such as CPR. These lessons have been going on in the staffroom and TPW.
Nicki has been an amazing teacher, making the lessons simple and fun. It's important to learn these things because students or children would need to know how to look after an injured person in a medical emergency or accident, or how to look after yourself.
When interviewing Quinton Groves from Room 7 he said this: “I think that the St John lessons were helpful and useful.” When Miss Kerr was asked for her thoughts she replied "I believe learning your DRS ABC, can help save a life".
The St Johns lessons could also save someone's life. Overall I am sure that the St Johns lessons were definitely helpful and fun as well as being useful, as if done correctly could save somebody's life.
