Our procedure for Lost Property is:
Any lost items are sent to Te Puna Waro and displayed on a table there. If there is a readable name anywhere on the item it is very quickly returned to its owner.
Once a week there is a list published in the notices, sometimes a photograph is shared with staff so they can show their students.
Unclaimed items are also listed in the school newsletter, non uniform items are usually photographed. Valuable items, jewellery, glasses etc are also listed and kept in the office.
At the end of the term any unclaimed uniform items are washed and donated to the school second hand uniform sale. Non uniform items go to charity organisations.
