Papanui High School invited Casebrook Intermediate over to their school to watch their production, ‘Chicago; High School Edition.’
On Monday, the 12th of June, Casebrook Intermediate Year 8's went to Papanui High. After eating lunch at school, we walked there in a big group with some Year 8 teachers. When we arrived, we were all seated in the hall and waiting for the show to start. While we waited, Papanui High School’s production orchestra played some music in the background. Once the music started, we knew the show was about to start!
The show started with a song and dance which included all the people who were taking part on stage. Everybody had their own microphones and sang using their own voices. They were so talented! The main characters were Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly.
The American accents, costumes, and choreography were a highlight. After the performance, students could ask the cast and crew some questions. It was great to get some inspiration for our own upcoming production in Term 3.
