Brand new spaces open!

The long-awaited refurbished DigiTech and Foods room block has opened this term. Over the next two newsletters we will feature each of the rooms. First up - DigiTech

Bright, airy and well-designed spaces are just three ways to describe our refurbished classrooms in the Technology Block. In the last week of Term 1, these buildings were officially completed and the move was on.

Being in the DigiTech space feels as if you are walking into a state-of-the-art learning space. The room is well set up for success in DigiTech and with Mr Mutch in control, the students are excited and keen to use the new rooms to their full potential.

The students of Whatukura asked Mr Mutch three questions about the new DigiTech learning space.

1. What is the best feature of your new space?

The new TV is wonderful, it's great how it's tucked in behind the whiteboards to give me a lot of whiteboard space as well. It's also a great size and easy to stream to.

2. How have the students responded to the new space?

They really like it. The first thing they comment on when they enter the room is how it smells new. They love the size of the TV.

3. How excited are you to be in your new space?

VERY! It's so bright and spacious. The whiteboards with storage behind them are great and it is very handy having a store room up the back. There's a lot of space to work with and it's a nice place to come to each day. Oh, and did I mention the large TV!
