On the 18th of October we interviewed Miss McKenzie, the Room 5 teacher.
We asked her a few questions about her recent trip to Europe.
1. Why did you decide to go for a trip to Europe?
I went to Europe with a group of my university friends. We had been wanting to do a trip for awhile but we were unable to due to COVID.
2. How long were you on your trip for?
I ended up being away for three months.
3. What did you do on your trip?
I went to lots of different places. I started my trip in London, then went to France, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Croatia and then added Morocco at the end.
4. What did you see on your trip?
I saw and did lots of amazing things. In Paris we went to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. In Barcelona we went to the Sagrada Familia which was amazing. During our time in Portugal we went to the beautiful beaches. In Hungary I went to an awesome music festival in Budapest, where there were lots of famous singers. There were over 400,000 people attending the festival over the 8 days! I spent 3 weeks in Italy, we saw lots of things in Rome including the Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum, and we got to go to a live football game to watch ROMA!! I really enjoyed Cinque Terre and Sorrento in Italy. In Greece my favourite part was Paros because of the beaches. I really enjoyed Hvar and Dubrovnik in Croatia. The old town in Dubrovnik was epic, including walking the wall. Finally, I went to Morocco which was a highlight. I got to spend 4 days in the Sahara desert.
5. How does it feel to be back at school?
I am really excited to be at school. I am looking forward to making the most of the next 9 weeks with my amazing class!
6. Did you like it better in Europe or at school teaching?
I enjoy both for different reasons.
7. And lastly how was your trip and did you enjoy it?
LOVED MY TRIP! Can't wait to go back
Thank you Miss McKenzie for letting us interview you and it sounds like you had an amazing holiday. We hope you have a great Term 4!
