Casebrook Intermediate students presented their speeches in the hall.
In Week 6 of Term 2 a few Year 7 and 8 students who were chosen by their teachers and peers to represent their class participated in the speech finals. This was to decide which 5 students would go on to the next round.
On August 29th the Year 8's presented and on August 31st the Year 7's presented in the hall.
When asked what she thought about the presentations Mrs Russell has this to say, "all the speeches were very well written; it must have been a very hard decision for the judges to pick the top five people". Jordy Moore competed in the Y8 speech competition said he felt a bit nervous and proud of how he did once he finished. He said he was relieved and happy when he had finished writing his speech. Max Hurring competed in the Y7 speeches. When getting ready to present he said he felt mostly confident and a tiny bit nervous. He also said it took him a little bit to find the correct speech topic. Once he finished writing his speech he felt relieved and ready to present his speech to all the year 7’s.
Congratulations to all the students who participated! You spoke very well.
