Casebrook students participated in the Read Aloud event at St. Margarets College.
Read Aloud took place on Thursday the first of September. Read Aloud is an event that students had the opportunity to participate in held at St Margarets College. Here they listened to three authors, who shared some of their books.
Simon Pollard shared his passion for reading, spiders, reptiles, insects and photography.
Gracie Kim shared her passion about reading, fitting in, her culture and her past story.
Maysoon Salama shared her experience with the mosque shooting, her Muslim culture and how she dealt with the shootings.
When asked what some students' favourite things and/or authors were, this is what they had to say. Stella and Kate’s favourite part of the event was listening to Graci Kim, Emmy and Leah’s favourite author was Graci Kim. Fern said that she liked getting an autograph from Graci Kim.
When asked how Casebrook students represented our school, Mrs Russell said this, “Casebrook students represented our school very well. We listened and were respectful while the authors were talking”.
At the end of the amazing event we could go up and get an autograph from whichever author we wanted. Some students even got the chance to get an autograph from all 3 authors.
Overall it was a great experience for all involved!
