Christchurch Intermediate schools each entered two speakers in the Inter School Speech competition, resulting in a strong field of competitors. Hannah and Meg both held the audiences attention and delivered well constructed, interesting speeches. The results were an outstanding achievement for both students.
The Education Review Office spent last week with us assessing all aspects of education at Casebrook.
In the verbal report to the Board of Trustees they said the teaching and planning was of an extremely high quality and reflected the learning needs of the students. The strong focus on student well being, the REP values, the inclusive environment and respectful relationships combined to provided the students with a strong sense of belonging and well being.
We look forward to the written report that we will share with you in approximately four weeks.
Last Friday all students took part in the 'Top Team' games. It was a fun day for all the students. Thank you to Kelsey Knipshild for organising it.
Yesterday was our school athletics day. Thank you to Charlotte Gardner and her helpers for organising such a smooth, well run day. The students enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere as they moved around events. We had thought too much sun would be a problem but the opposite was the case.
Next week we have 'Creativity Plus' on Wednesday and Thursday nights. This is when the hall is decorated with student work created in our specialist classrooms and musical groups will be performing. It is well worth dropping in. Both nights the hall is open from 6.30 - 8.00pm and staff will be there to discuss the exhibits with you.
Please mark the Cluster Community evening in your calendar, Friday 27 November 4.00 -7.00pm here at Casebrook.
Thank you for your on going support at a busy time of year. If you have any question or concerns regarding your child in 2016 please do not hesitate to contact us.
