Maths and Science Badges

In the start of Term two the maths and science badge work started.

The students worked on their badges all through the term, it was hard but fun and in the end they got a badge.

We interviewed Miss Bell and Miss Kennedy to find out more about the maths and science badges.

Q: How did you create the challenges?
A: sciencebadge.co.nz nationwide all children test. They are provided by a company that's nationwide.

Q: What were some of the challenges students did?
A: Lots of challenges like sport, science, astronomy.

Q: What do you have to do for the maths badge?
A: You have an A and B side and you have to complete 3 on each side.

Q: How many people did the challenges?
A: 40 last term (Science)  27 last term (Maths).

Q: What do you have to do for the science badge?
A: You have to complete 20 stars =16 challenges which is around 7 activities.

Q: How does the maths badge work?
A: You sign up for your topic and complete the task and get a badge and certificate. Pick a topic and complete the tasks for that topic then you get a badge and certificate and you also complete 8 Casebrook Challenges.

Q: How well do you think the students did in the maths & science badges?
A: Amazed by the quality of the tasks they did really well and produced great work.

A: There are different challenges for different people.
