On the 22nd, 28th, and 29th of June, Year 6 students from Cotswold, Papanui, Redwood, Northcote and Bishopdale schools came to take a look around our school.
When the students arrived they were greeted by the Casebrook Student Leadership team and watched an episode of Casebrook News. Everyone then split off into rotations including science, art, food technology, hard materials, and sport to know what it’s like to be a Casebrook student. At morning tea the visiting students came back together in the hall and received popcorn and juice.
The students in science made sherbet. Here is the recipe to try at home:
Sherbet making and tasting:
Put 3tsp of icing sugar in a zip lock bag
Add 1 tsp of citric acid.
Add ½ tsp baking soda.
Add 2 tsp of raro
Stir to combine
Taste, adjust acid or raro for desired taste.
