On Thursday 14th November, a group of students went to the library, Turānga, in town, and performed there. The groups that went there were: Korean dance group, Hip Hop specialist and Jazz specialist.
We interviewed:
Megan B - Korean dance
Tavia R - Jazz Specialist
Addison R - Hip Hop Specialist
What was it like?
Megan: Fun.
Tavia: Yes, very fun and enjoyable.
Addison: Nerve racking.
What happened at Kids In Town?
Megan: Watched the school before us, then did our dances.
Tavia: Watched the school before us, then did our dances.
Addison: Watched different schools then performed.
Was it fun?
Megan, Tavia, Addison: Yes it was fun.
How much practice did you have?
Megan: Every Wednesday afternoon.
Tavia: A lot of practice and we did the two dances from the production and one other dance.
Addison: We practiced our dance for two terms.
Did it take long to remember the dance?
Megan: We learnt the dance and then just practiced.
Tavia: Not very long.
Addison: About 3 practices.
Was there an audience or could people just come to watch?
Megan: Anyone in the library could watch.
Tavia: Anyone in the library could watch.
Addison: Free for all.
How many people were there on average?
Megan: About 30 people.
Tavia: A lot.
Addison: About 15-30 people
Which area did you perform in?
Megan, Tavia, Addison: On the second floor.
