Tēnā Koutou Katoa - All Vaccine Mandates Will Be Removed from April 4

This is great news for our young people as it means all will have full access to sporting events and visits to places outside of our school. However, it is still recommended that all who are eligible are vaccinated as this is regarded by the Ministry of Health as the best protection from contracting COVID. Indoors students and staff, without an exemption, will still be required to wear masks.

At Casebrook we have had a number of students and staff test positive for the virus and a number who have been required to isolate as they are household contacts but to date, our numbers have not had a major impact on our ability to continue to function as normal. We do know though that Canterbury, as a region has increasing daily case numbers and so we must continue to be vigilant.  Our students have been great at wearing their masks and responding to new ways of doing things. A sincere thank you to our school community for your ongoing support with this.

During the last week of the term, we have our whānau interviews. Normally these are face-to-face with your child's teacher but this year we are going online.  Information regarding the booking process will be available from Monday.  We encourage you to take part in these interviews as they are an opportunity to express any concerns you may have and also to understand what your child is engaging with at school as well as to set future goals. A telephone option will also be available.

If at any time you have concerns or just wish to clarify something, please contact us.

Stay safe.
