We would like to invite you and your child to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference about their learning to start the year.
This is an opportunity for you and your child to talk with your child’s teacher about how well they have settled in and discuss future steps for learning in 2022. The meetings follow the initial Term 1 report that will be sent home to parents/caregivers/whānau on Friday 8th April.
Due to the current COVID situation in the community, we have decided to hold these meetings via video conference (or phone call) only.
Teachers will be available on:
Tuesday 12th April from 2.00pm – 8.00pm
Wednesday 13th April from 2.00pm – 6.00pm.
These meetings are 10 minutes long within a 15 minute time slot. That will enable everyone time to talk and should allow time to resolve any possible hiccups with video calling.
Please note that School closes both days at 1.45pm.
Please also consider the Specialist areas: Hard Materials, Science, Foods, Art, Digi and Learning Support teachers who are also really keen to talk with you about your child’s progress in these areas. Please note: Science and Art teachers will be available on Monday and Wednesday.
Bookings for these interviews can be made online by accessing the website listed below and entering the code:

Technical info:
These meetings will be held on google meet - an app already accessible to all students with BYODs and parents/whānau with a Google account. We would recommend having a quick look into google meet if you have never used it before by clicking on the link here: https://apps.google.com/intl/en/meet/how-it-works/
If you do not have internet access at home you can ring school and make a booking through the office on phone number 3597-428, or your class teacher. You can still schedule an interview time and classroom teachers will call home to conduct an interview over the phone instead.
These meetings are a really important opportunity to connect despite the current situation and we urge all families to take up the opportunity to hear about how their child is going in class. We hope to meet in person later in the year for student-led conferences.
Ngā mihi nui,
