At the end of last term, our “First 13” Rugby League team, took part in the Year 7 and 8 tournament at Nga Puna Wai.
Playing under blue skies and well groomed fields, the day was perfect for plenty of good Rugby League action. Our Casebrook team gelled very well as a unit, showing plenty of determination, courage and skill.
Draws, losses and wins, resulted in the team coming third place overall, much to the delight of the boys. Each member of the team represented Casebrook with plenty of REP on the day. The tournament has provided a solid start for the team and we look forward to Winter sport at Hagley beginning next term.
Many thanks to Mrs Anne McClimont for her support and help on the day.
Special mention also goes to Liam Finding (pictured above) who had an outstanding tournament, especially considering that Liam had never played Rugby League before. Well done!
