Bishopdale BLOOD DRIVE

Where: Bishopdale Blood Drive, Bishopdale reformed Church, 90 Highsted Road.

When: Wednesday 11th May 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Parking is available if you are working from home and want to drive in to donate blood.

Eligibility criteria applies– please do the online Am I eligible? quiz to see if you can give blood on Wednesday 11th May.

If you have a specific health question that you want to check before you come in to donate, call us on 0800 448 325. Or you can discuss your medical question with the NZBS nurse when you come in to donate.

Welcome, new donors!  If you have never given blood before, here’s a run through of the donation process… firstly you register with your donor card or photo ID and you fill out some paperwork & read some info leaflets. Then you have a private chat with a NZBS nurse where he/she will ask you a few questions about your health. Then you hop onto the bed and give blood (this part only takes about 10 minutes). Then you sit down and have some biscuits and a drink. Altogether the process takes about an hour (not including transport time).
