Rugby League Tournament

In Week 11 of Term 1, the Casebrook rugby league team went to their first tournament of the season. Cathy-Jade and Nate interviewed some of the rugby league team about their experience of their tournament

The tournament was held at Te Puna Wai where many schools around Christchurch came to compete. Some of the schools that were there were Kirkwood, Avonhead, St Thomas’, Haeata and many more.

“How did you feel about the game?”

“It was pretty good and the team did their best. The hardest team we played against was Kirkwood. We were under pressure during the games.”

Liam in Room 5 had his time playing rugby league and he did very well. Unfortunately, there was a bad injury on the day which resulted in Brayden breaking his shinbone and is currently in a wheelchair. Thanks to Mr Whitley who took the team to the tournament.
