Seb Stettner recently participated in the BMX nationals competition and secured 3rd place out of approximately 30 other competitors.
Seb’s favourite part of BMX riding is that he gets to travel around New Zealand, meeting new people. He also loves the thrill of competing.
BMX is a sport where you ride a bike round a dirt track with asphalt corners and race against eight other people. It is a highly dangerous sport but luckily Seb has only ever broken a couple of fingers.
Seb was first introduced to the sport at the age of six when his parents took him to a local bike track and he did some laps on the track and loved it. After lots of practice, he eventually got really good and became sponsored by a company called Fantom Bike Clothing. Seb now represents his sponsor at all of his events.
We were really impressed with Seb's achievements. He said his biggest achievement was coming 4th out of people from New Zealand and Australia. Another one of his achievements is coming second in the South Island competition.
We look forward to following Seb’s future success!
