An update on COVID info from Casebrook Intermediate School.
Kia ora koutou,
As you will be aware on Monday we informed the community about a positive case in our school. Today we have had another confirmed case and we currently have a handful of people self-isolating at home due to a covid positive case in their family/whānau.
At this stage we are able to keep you regularly updated on case numbers but the advice we have been from the Ministry of Education (MOE) suggests this may not be as straightforward once the pandemic peaks in our school community.
Just a reminder that we are in ‘Phase three’ of NZ’s Covid ‘Red Setting’. This means:
Learning from Home
Our teachers will email work home to students:
Devices
If your child requires a device to learn from home please let us know when you contact school about a positive or household isolation case.
The advice we are getting from the MOE and Ministry of Health is that students are able to continue learning in well ventilated, cleaned, and masked-up environments. This makes schools the best place to be for well children.
As always, please get in touch if there is anything you’re unsure of or need clarification on around Covid and isolation.
