Last Friday, the 3rd of December, the Casebrook Singers and Korean Dance group performed at Bishopdale Mall, for the public.
Casebrook Singers performed Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. Korean Dance performed a traditional Korean fan dance. We interviewed William from Casebrook Singers and Samantha from Korean Dance. Here’s what they had to say.
Were you nervous to perform?
Samantha: I wasn’t nervous at all because we have been practicing all year.
William: I felt confident as we had practised for hours and we had performed the songs before.
How do you think you did?
Samantha: I think I did really well and I was happy to perform for my family and people watching.
William: We did well as a group and the audience loved us.
How long have you been practicing your performance?
Samantha: We’ve been practicing our dance since the start of the year every Friday.
William: We have been practicing our performance for three weeks.
What was your favourite part?
Samantha: My favourite part was performing and watching people’s smiles as we danced.
William: Getting candy from Santa was definitely one of the best parts!
The audience was amazed by the performances and it was a wonderful way to end the year, with some Christmas spirit and a beautiful fan dance.
