Term four, Week one has been a busy week with getting production ready.
Mata’s wish, written and directed by Karlyn Spain, went ahead on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st of October for matinee and evening shows.
Behind the scenes Mrs Feron, Miss Spain and Room 9 put in 100% effort to make each performance the very best. Classes have been working hard to perfect their class dances this year. All classes have been amazing with getting costumes, makeup, and hair organised. Even though people didn’t like being bare feet in front of other people, nobody complained. The classes looked creative, colourful, and neat.
Production was meant to be in the last week of Term 3 but it was interrupted by a covid level 4 lockdown. Being able to do our dances in Term 4 and invite parents to watch the show was very lucky. Everyone had the best time.
It was amazing to see all the classes practicing their dance on the court, grass, or their classroom and seeing everybody wearing their costumes. We were very lucky to have all those parents who paid to come and took the time to watch our production. We also want to say thank you to all the staff and Room 9 for getting class dances set up and getting the hall ready for us to perform. A big thanks to Mrs Feron and Miss Spain for all the time they spent to get the school production perfect. Good job to all the students who participated. Performing our dances and the finale was a blast.
